Happy Birthday John Glenn
Birthday: July 18, 1921
Birthplace: Cambridge, Ohio
Talk about out of this world, on February 20, 1962 John Glenn was the first American to do it.
He lived a life that few of us can imagine. He was revered more than artists, actors, authors, generals, and even presidents.
When asked about faith Glenn responded, “…I take my religion very seriously… We are placed here with certain talents and capabilities. It is up to each of us to use those talents and capabilities as best you can. If you do that, I think there is a power greater than any of us that will place the opportunities in our way, and if we use our talents properly, we will be living the kind of life we should.”
His life taught millions of Americans for generations that faith, family, and love of country is so important and that character and integrity matter.
“I’m not interested in my legacy.
I made up a new word: ‘live-acy.’ I’m more interested in living.”
